NEW CSA DESTINATIONS – YEREVAN, NEWARK, KUWAIT, SLIAČ, MINSK
Yerevan (EVN) is a new destination in the CSA network as of 11 June 2003. Flight OK 930 departs from Prague on Wednesdays and Sundays at 21:20 and is operated by Boeing 737-400’s. From 16 June, CSA reopened flights to Newark (EWR) three times a week, on Mondays, Fridays, and Sundays. The flight is operated by Airbus A310’s. Seasonal flights to Kuwait (KWI) by Airbus A310’s were also renewed for Wednesdays and Fridays from 19 June to 29 September. The first flight to Sliac (SLD), Slovakia, will depart on 28 July. The flight will be operated by ATR 42’s, daily, except for weekends.
A NEW PRAGUE-MINSK (MSQ) TRUCK ROUTE
As of 1 August 2003, regular truck operations between PRG-MSQ, under the OK 9092 code will be operated. It will depart from Prague on Friday afternoons and reach Minsk on Wednesday mornings. For more detailed information contact: tel. 220 113 698 – Ms. Petra Lenska.
ACCEPTING DANGEROUS GOODS CONSIGNMENTS
Should any discrepancy be found in documents accompanying dangerous goods, or if packaging is insufficient, the consignment will be returned to the shipper. We would like to remind you of a new rule regarding a handling charge for each acceptance and check.
CONSIGNMENTS STORED IN REFRIGERATORS
Considering the fact that during the summer season more consignments have to be stored in refrigerators, and that the capacity is limited, we would like to request all our customers to collect their consignments upon receiving notice and in this way allow us to provide the service for more consignments.
ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGES
From 1 June, the number of operations supervisors has been increased from two to four. Our supervisors, Zdenek Duchacek, Pavel Kaczkowski, Libuse Budinska, and Marcela Salamounova are at your service Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., and at weekends from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Telephone connections: 602 171 369, 220 114 339, or 220 114 388. In case of any problem or reminder, you can also contact our Operations Manager, Ms. Libuse Kralova at 220 113 346.
APPEAL FOR PAYMENT DISCIPLINE
We would like to request our customers to keep to the time limits regarding payments as stated in the cooperation agreement which is an inseparable part of agent contracts. If not observed, we cannot prevent the automatic issue of penal invoices.
ADDITIONAL TRUCKS TO BRNO
In connection with the termination of flights to Brno, CSA will add connections to its truck operations and from 1 July three weekly connections to Brno will be operated. OK 9070 will leave on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 1 p.m.
E-MAIL INFORMATION ON SENT SHIPMENTS
We would like to inform all our agents about the possibility of receiving regular information by e-mail regarding shipments sent from PRG airport. E-mails are sent twice a day on working days and once a day on Saturdays. If you wish to receive the information, send your request, with e-mail addresses, to: [email protected].
WEIGHT AND DIMENSION CHECK-SHEET
As of 1 July 2003, a new form, the “Weight and Dimension Check Sheet” is being introduced for all export consignments sent by freight agents (see the specimen on this page).
The left part of the form is filled in by the agent, the warehouse staff checks the dimensions and weight and confirms the data in the right part of the Check-sheet.
The form verifies and documents the correctness and completeness of the data provided by the agent in the AWB and the carried-out check by warehouse staff of all shipments exported from Prague. The form may be picked up at the Cargo/Tariffs section.
Goods for export must not be stored in the warehouse for more than 3 hours without documentation, then it has to be “ready for carriage” cargo or it must be removed by the sender for security reasons.
MAXIMUM WEIGHT OF A SINGLE PIECE OF CONSIGNMENTS TO LED AND BHX
In Birmingham (BHX) and St. Petersburg (LED), due to technical reasons the agent has reduced the maximum weight of a piece of consignment – BHX to 149 kg, and LED to 200 kg.
DANGEROUS GOODS TO DUBAI
VBased on the AEG-02 variation published in the IATA Dangerous Goods Manual, only goods from IATA agents, or agents where a minimum of two persons hold the IATA DGR diploma, will be accepted for carriage to Dubai.
CSA CARGO FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT
On 5 June, the 3rd annual football tournament – the CSA Cargo Director Cup took place in Dobroviz. Teams representing Ceska posta, Fritz Companies, Gebrüder Weiss, and CSA Cargo participated. The Fritz Companies team was the winner, with CSA Cargo taking 2nd place and Ceská posta 3rd. We would like to thank all the participants, congratulate the winner, and say that we are looking forward to the next tournament.
