Passenger handling

Beginning with a passenger's arrival at the check-in desk until his/her boarding of a plane, the Passenger Check-In Department provides complete passenger handling for all CSA flights, and for the flights of both contractual and non-contractual carriers, including charter flights – 24 hours a day.

The entire handling process is observed by supervisors, and then station managers, who, together with other units at Prague Airport, solve all standard and non-standard situations for passengers at the airport, e.g., if an airport is closed due to labour unrest, for bad weather conditions, or if there are flight delays or cancellations due to technical or operational reasons. The service also includes a consequent care provided to passengers who were affected by the stated conditions.

Passenger and baggage check-in

CSA operates their flights from the terminals North 1 and North 2.
For passenger check-in, there are 20 check-in counters available for CSA in the departure hall of the terminal North 1. Counters 141–148 are for Economy (Travel) Class passenger check-in, and most CSA flights are checked -in at these counters – except for flights requiring pre-flight security checks (USA, CANADA, ISRAEL). Counters 154–157 are used for Business Class passenger check-in and gold and silver OK PLUS, ELITE and ELITE PLUS card holders check-in. Counter 140 is used for Express Check-in, the check-in of passengers with hand baggage only and for Telephone Check-in. Counter 151 is meant for disabled passengers, or for families with children and groups.

There are 15 counters for passenger check-in at terminal North 2 where the flights to the Schengen Area countries are handled. Counters 223 – 229 are used for Economy Class passenger check-in and counters 220–222 for Business Class passenger check-in, gold and silver OK PLUS, ELITE and ELITE PLUS card holders check-in. Passengers with hand baggage only can check-in at counter 220. Counter 210 is meant for disabled passengers, for families with children and groups.

CSA Cash Desk (ATO)

Provides all services related to tickets (sales, change of reservations, lost tickets, etc.) A special counter at the Cash Desk allows for the holding of tickets until they are collected by passengers.

Transit Counter

Provides all services for passengers and their baggage who were not Through Checked due to various reasons; it processes messages on transfer passengers and their baggage.

Departure

The Public Address system is used to inform passengers regarding boarding times for their flights. Ground Personnel check boarding passes and flight tickets before passengers board the airplane.
It is here that the check-in of transit passengers (and their baggage) is finalised, and the necessary flight documents are prepared and handed over to the crew.

CSA's Special Passenger Services provide check-in for VIP and business passengers, as well as for immobile passengers and unaccompanied children.
