František Šír

 

František Šír,
Director of the Supplier Service Management Section

František Šír became Director of the Supplier Service Management Section of Czech Airlines on 1 May 2006.

He graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Brno University of Technology, specialising in medical devices.  In 1993, he became the director of the Czech and Slovak offices of the Finnish company Planmeca S.A..  Three years later, he headed into retail, primarily holding positions as the sales director, most recently for the retail chain MANA (today Albert) for the multi-national corporation Ahold.  From there, he left for the financial sector in 1999, becoming the Head of Central Procurement, for GE Capital.  Later, he was appointed the CEO of GE Capital Multiservis, and in 2002 he joined Raiffeisenbank.

The main goal, as defined by the approved strategy, is to reduce the company’s costs.  František Šír’s task in CSA will be not only to reduce the prices of supplies, but to also simplify processes, with the aim of reducing the company’s internal costs.
