CSA in-flight service gets new look including chinaware, drinks and meals

November 10, 2005

Passengers in Business class on CSA flights are able to experience a number of improvements in in-flight catering and services this winter with the introduction of new menus and a wider selection of wine.

‘From this winter season we have established a new cooperation with the Czech Assciation of Chefs and Confectioners and with the Association of Sommeliers’ revealed CSA’s vice-president for marketing and sales, Bohuslav Santrucek.

‘We want our meals and wines to be selected according both to current trends and requirements for our passengers’, he said.

Examples of the new menu available on Prague-London services in Business class include a starter comprising fresh salad with Mozzarella, cherry tomatoes and black olive, followed by Chinese rice noodles with honey chicken served with mixed vegetables or traditional Czech beef steak in a cream sauce served with dumplings and cranberries.

For dessert there is pastry with vanilla ice cream topped with whipped cream.

Wines offered include a Moravian white wine (Rulandske sede), a Sauvignon and two red wines, a Cabernet Sauvignon and a Denis d’Or Barrique.

Meals and beverages will be served on a newly-designed collection of porcelain. Cutlery, glass, and other accessories will be in the same style. Passengers will also gradually get to see new cabin accessories such as blankets, headrest covers and cushions made of high-quality material which have also been designed and manufactured especially for CSA.

CSA has also changed the visual style of its tickets, ticket folders, baggage tags, menus and wine lists, boarding passes and lounge invitations.

The new timetable is available on-line at the CSA website (www.czechairlines.co.uk).
